Kwame G. Gyimah
Kwame represents a range of businesses in commercial matters. As a focus, Kwame has significant expertise in insurance defense, insurance coverage, credit union regulatory compliance, and real estate related matters. His clientele include business owners, financial institutions, insurance companies, commercial and residential landlords as well as start-up entrepreneurs. He is experienced in litigation in both state and federal court as well as alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. Kwame also assists his clients with the drafting and negotiation of business contracts, including: practice transitions, commercial and residential lease agreements, employment agreements, and creditors rights agreements.
On a personal note, Kwame has a deep passion for uplifting and advocating for children. Kwame volunteers his time representing special needs students, pro bono, in their negotiations with public school districts to secure educational and therapeutic services pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Kwame also serves on the board of directors for Benstel School Systems – a private school in Kumasi, Ghana, with a mission of making proven western teaching methods and learning technologies accessible to Ghanaian children.
